What Is Hydro-Jetting?
It’s like a super power-washer for your car, but for your pipes and sewer line instead. Special pumps send high pressure water through “jet” nozzles to thoroughly clean the insides of pipes. The jets operate at thousands of PSI (pounds per square inch) in narrows stream to blast away build-up and obstructions without stressing the plumbing. The water then flushes away all the loosened debris as we move the jets further and further down the pipes.
We’ll begin with an in-pipe visual inspection using one of our remote video cameras. That will tell us the exact nature (and location) of the problem so that we’ll know for sure if hydro jetting is or isn’t the best way to go. That includes seeing the general condition of the pipes and identifying any problems that need repair or could cause complications. We won’t make things worse before we make them better!
Alternative methods, such as “bore driving” usually require digging to gain access to the pipes at one or more locations. That’s simply not the case with hydro jetting. We can send our equipment into the pipes through a standard clean-out access point present in most homes and business properties. Even if that’s not the case we can usually gain access through existing fixtures, such as toilet fittings. Once our equipment set up, we’ll clean the full length of drain and sewer pipes for a job well done, start to finish.
What Are the Benefits of Hydro Jetting?
Hydrojetting is much more thorough than the usual snaking, especially when it comes to clogs caused by a heavy build up of grease and grime. Standard drain cleaning often just pokes a hole through the clog. That restores draining, but the small hole can fill up again fairly quickly, leaving you back where you started.
But hydro jetting completely removes all grease, grime, and other build up. It can break up obstructions such as hair and even fine tree roots, the most common cause of a clogged sewer line. Hydro jetting can also flush out sand and silt that drain snaking rarely does. The high pressure jets can even remove scale and minerals, leaving a smooth surface that’s far less likely to trap debris or accumulate grime and grease in the future.
Once the equipment is there and set up, we’ll clean the full length of your drain and sewer lines. Your drain pipes and sewer line will be “clean as new” and you shouldn’t have any clog problems for quite a while.
Nothing’s permanent, but high-pressure hydro jetting typically means that it will be four times longer before the next time you need service. Our special service doesn’t just re-establish drainage. With everything cleaned out you’ll be back to full-flow capacity for quick draining sinks, tubs, and showers.
